Rumble, bumble, crash, rain... done a few minutes later. World a little grayer, a little cooler, still humid. Maybe more later...?

In other news, what the hell -- ten around lunchtime, too.

That crash took out the phones and internet at work.

Right after the fire alarm went off, too.

I got lots of reports of Serious Weather from friends north and west of Boston... but by the time it got here it just... wasn't.

It must have just skimmed you. I don't know how that works.

At about 2pm the sky over Somerville went gray; by 3pm it faded to black and the rain came. We got about a half-hour of real badass Drang, then quiet slow-breathing recovery. The sun was out by 5. Strange to think that it missed The Dot entirely.

It didn't miss us entirely, it just wasn't the pre-Apocalypse Show I had been promised. It was, y'know, rain.
